Photo of Shoreham

Location

Shoreham Beach is a small shingle peninsula that has the tidal river Adur to the north and the sea to the south. As a result there are plenty of water sports, windsurfing, kiteboarding, sailing and fishing opportunities on the doorstep. The South Downs footpaths and cycle paths are also easily accessible from the Beach.

During the spring and summer months the beach is adorned with rare flora and fauna and resembles a meadow of colour. The plants now form part of a protected nature reserve and attract wildlife, botanists and artists. The nearby Widewater Lagoon also attracts many birds, swans and ducks.

The accommodation is on the foreshore on Old Fort Road and is a ten minute walk from the river foot bridge which takes you in to Shoreham town centre. The town has several good restaurants, a great wine bar and 23 pubs! There is also a fabulous fish restaurant located on the Beach only five minutes walk from the flat. A few doors down from the restaurant you will find a bakery that sells a good variety of fresh bread and pastries.
