Out and About

If you are looking for a faster pace of life, then the city of Brighton is only 5 miles away. Its famous pier, Sealife Centre, Royal Pavilion, the Lanes shopping area with designer shops, top class restaurants, nightlife and theatres are only a 10 minute train journey away.

Worthing, has a quieter pace and offers a traditional seaside experience - pier, ice-cream parlours and fish and chips!

Arundle with its castle, cathedral and medieval architecture makes for a great day out.

London’s famous attractions, museums and galleries are only an hour away by train.

At a more local level, and for the younger visitor, Coombes Farm (10 mins by car) has tractor rides on the South Downs and is open for lambing in the Spring.

Lancing College (5 mins by car) a vast gothic public school set in fabulous grounds, opens its chapel and crypt doors to the public at weekends.

Adur Festival held in June and Brighton Festival (May) offer weeks of entertainment music and art.
